Digital Leadership Awards™

Purpose

The Digital Leadership Awards™ honor senior executives, artists, educators, public servants and government officials who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Adjudication
Blue Ribbon Panels of technology, media, entertainment and marketing professionals who represent hardware manufacturers, software developers, content creators and brands selects review and evaluate all nominees and submits a group of finalists in each category. The Digital Leadership Awards™ Advisory Board selects the recipients of each individual award. Note: Because the Advisory Board will set a numerical standard of excellence for considered nominees, Digital Leadership Awards™ may not be awarded in every category.

Nominations
To nominate an individual, please fill out and submit our online nomination form. You can also click here to download a PDF copy of the form. All submissions will be considered and reviewed by one of our Blue Ribbon Panels. The deadline for the 2012 The Digital Leadership Awards™ is 11:59pm ET, Friday, September 14, 2012.

The Digital Leadership Award™ Winners
The winners will be notified by Wednesday, September 19, 2012. The Digital Leadership Awards™ will be presented on October 11, 2012 at the Media Technology Summit 2012, Marriott Marquis, New York City.

Categories

Executive

Chief Executive Officers or senior managers/administrators who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Marketer

Chief Marketing Officers or senior marketing executives who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Technologist

Chief Technology Officers or senior IT executives who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Creative Director

Chief Creative Officers or senior creative executives who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Financial Executive

Chief Financial Officers, senior financial executives, venture capitalists, bankers or other financial professionals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Government Official

Government officials who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Performer/Artist

Performers, actors, musicians, spokespeople or artists who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Educator

Educators who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

FAQs

Is there a fee to enter The Digital Leadership Awards™?
No.

Can I get an extension of the submission deadline?
No.

To enter, do I need to do anything besides fill out and submit the online nomination form?
No. You and your nominee will be contacted on or before September 19, 2012 if your nominee becomes finalist.

Are nominees outside the U.S. eligible for consideration?
Yes.

What titles must nominees have to be eligible?
Titles are not a requirement for consideration. However, to eligible, individuals must have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

Are nominees from agencies, vendors or suppliers acceptable?
Yes. You may nominate any individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

May agencies, vendors or suppliers nominate customers?
Yes. You may nominate any individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the conception, creation and execution of digital initiatives.

May I submit multiple nominees?
Yes. You may submit as many nominees for consideration as you like.

How do I know my submission was successful?
You will see a confirmation on your screen that confirms that you have submitted successfully. If you need more information, please contact awards@digitalleadershipacademy.org.

Can a nominee win a Digital Leadership Award™ two years in a row?
Yes.

If a nominee is interviewed by a Blue Ribbon Panelist or a Digital Leadership Award™ Advisory Board member, does that mean the nominee has won?
No. It means that we need additional information to properly adjudicate the submission.

Is there a physical award?
Yes. Awards will be presented during the Media Technology Summit 2012 on October 11, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Is there an award ceremony?
Yes. Awards will be presented during the Media Technology Summit 2012 on October 11, 2012 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

How can I use the Digital Leadership Awards™ logo, and promotional materials in my paid, free, owned and earned media properties?

Nomination Guidelines

What are the attributes exemplified by recipients of the Digital Leadership Award?™
All submissions require a summary explaining why the nominee should receive the highest score for each attribute. This is your opportunity to tell the panel why they should give your nominee a ten in each area. The Blue Ribbon Panel will score each nominee using a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) in each of the Digital Leadership Academy’s core values:
